An engineered ride solution designed specifically for ambulances. This suspension offers superior ride and handling for passenger comfort as well as vehicle protection.
The main support members extended-length generates lower spring rate for optimized roll stiffness providing a more comfortable and compliant ride. To further soften the ride, a longer main support member allows the air springs to carry more of the vertical load.
The wide footprint of the hanger distributes load over a larger area for reduced frame stress
The axle center is on a horizontal line with the pivot point, providing neutral roll steer for better handling
Durable pivot bushing connection provides quiet operation and helps extend suspension service life
Hendrickson’s proven QUIK-ALIGN® axle alignment feature allows fast and easy alignment without shims
Shocks are tuned for optimum damping characteristics to provide maximum driving comfort
Ambulance version offers the same features and benefits as above plus:
Increase axle travel to permit vehicle lowering or kneeling for easy gurney transfer
Transverse rod with spherical joints to provide resistance-free axle travel for full kneeling capability
Optional pressure check valve to decrease the time required to air up from a kneeling position to the ride height
