CANTON, OH — Hendrickson introduces the VALUE PACKAGE - a low-cost, extended service wheel-end configuration built around the STEMCO Advantage SystemTM.
By simply specifying VALUE PACKAGE, a READY-TO-ROLL® (RTR®) option for INTRAAX® and VANTRAAX®, fleets and owner operators order a set of popular extended-service wheel-end options easing their way through the complex specification process, reports Gary Ciapetta, director of marketing, Hendrickson International, Trailer Suspension Systems.
The VALUE PACKAGE matches a tough ductile iron hub assembly with STEMCO's Advantage SystemÔ to meet the broad needs of a trucking industry looking for cost efficiencies and outstanding value. It not only gives operators the convenience of "one-stop shopping" but also the benefits of more competitive pricing and a single-source for service warranties.
The Advantage System provides the most advanced protection available for today's wheel ends, says Jim Reis, vice president sales and marketing of STEMCO. It includes the Discover® Seal, STEMCO's premium hub-installed, unitized-design seal with a new high temperature sealing element; Pro-Torq® Advanced Axle Spindle Nuts that provide consistent bearing settings for extended wheel seal and bearing life, and the proven Sentinel® Hub Cap with a filtering system that eliminates contamination.
The Advantage SystemTM offers a five-year limited warranty, field serviceable components and industry standard components to reduce maintenance and improve cost efficiency, adds Reis. In addition, it addresses the three most critical aspects of the wheel end: sealing ability, bearing adjustment and lubricant integrity.
Other elements of Hendrickson's VALUE PACKAGE include ductile iron hubs, cast iron drums, slack adjusters, brake chambers and Hendrickson 16.5- by 7-inch HXS® (extended service) brakes, Ciapetta notes.
For those who prefer to individually spec their wheel-ends, the broad mix-and-match offerings of the Hendrickson READY-TO-ROLL® program are available as always to meet the industry's diverse needs.
