WOODRIDGE, Ill. – Hendrickson’s Understanding Air Ride — Fire and Rescue
Vehicles booklet rolled off the presses with nine educational sections
outlining the advantages of air-ride suspensions.
Hendrickson Truck Suspension Systems launched industry-wide circulation of
the customer-driven publication (No.
45745-280) through its sales staff, dealer network and Web site (www.hendrickson-intl.com).
The 20-page edition explores topics in relation to fire and rescue vehicle
suspension systems including: overviews of air-ride technology, roll
stability, controlling ride height and spec’ing tips.
In addition, the publication explains the features and benefits of FIREMAAX,
which incorporates parallelogram geometry to achieve optimum performance in
standard fire and rescue applications.
Jacob Madden, marketing coordinator at Hendrickson, notes, “Air-ride
technology has changed dramatically over the past few decades. This
Understanding Air Ride brochure is a tool to educate an industry that
operates primarily on mechanical suspensions about the remarkable advances
in technology.
“Our new brochure details how air suspensions such as FIREMAAX can provide
stability characteristics comparable to mechanical suspensions, while
helping to protect vehicle components and expensive equipment that may prove
critical in an emergency situation.
