Hendrickson's Prototype HNP Wheel End Trims Weight on Vocational Trailers
CANTON, Ohio — Hendrickson’s prototype HNP factory-installed trailer wheel end delivers a lightweight option ideal for flatbeds, dumps, drop decks and other vocational trailers.

Constructed of austempered ductile iron, which matches aluminum for weight while delivering twice the strength, HNP on Hendrickson P90 spindles provides the ability to switch between duals and wide-based single tires.

The HNP features a unique locknut system (patent pending), and with the parallel P90 spindle, it provides even lubrication levels and requires only one standard bearing size. Furthermore, Hendrickson’s patented axle ventilation system protects from contaminates to enhance wheel-end life.

Hendrickson technicians pre-assemble and seal HNP units in our factories to provide premium wheel-end performance. With our world-class wheel-end assembly capabilities, factory installation helps ensure proper bearing adjustment, internal cleanliness and seal performance.

In addition, HNP helps haulers forget the maintenance hassles of trailer wheel ends with a limited five-year warranty for on-highway applications and gives truckers one source for parts, service and warranty from suspension through wheel end.

This newest innovation, combining road proven suspensions with advanced wheel end technology, provides a system that offers unparalleled flexibility to support current and future wheel configurations. Plans call for a production launch next year.
