AAZ family brings sliding platform trailer operators unprecedented weight
savings and low-maintenance advantages of an integrated air-ride suspension
system.
Launched last fall with the well-received AAZNT 46K,
46,000-pound capacity tandem model, Hendrickson continued to add to the platform
slider family with the single-axle AAZNT 23K early in 2003. Plans call for the
introduction of low ride height models this year.
The AAZ family gives operators of platform sliders the
advantages of INTRAAX that most haulers in the transportation industry have
enjoyed for years.
The platform slider family draws on Hendrickson’s unmatched
slider box design experience enhanced with the benefits of patented INTRAAX
technology to create responsive, unparalleled systems.
Hendrickson’s platform slider family delivers durable and
low maintenance air-ride packages that weigh substantially less than comparable
mechanical suspensions.
Offered in ride heights from 6.5 to 17 inches, the AAZ
tandem and single-axle systems feature a combination of a smooth-sliding “Z”
profile box and the road-proven INTRAAX integrated suspension system. The slider
box fits neatly up between the trailer I-beams with lock-pins engaging through
holes in the web of the beams.
The platform sliders fit I-beam centers of 37, 38, 43 and
44 inches, and the tandem can accommodate 49-, 60- and 72-inch axle spreads. A
brake chamber activated by a push-pull valve powers the QUIK-DRAW®
pin release mechanism that helps increase driver satisfaction and maximize
productivity.
With a wide variety of available combinations of singles
and tandems, the AAZ family provides outstanding flexibility in trailer design
tailored to serve a wide range of hauling requirements.
The lightweight platform slider systems incorporate all of
the benefits of INTRAAX including the first standard trailer Cam Tube System™ to
reduce S-cam maintenance and the industry’s straightest axle to help stretch
fuel mileage and tire life.
