Latest INTRAAX® and VANTRAAX® brochures tout Advanced Axle / Beam Technology
CANTON, Ohio – Recently updated INTRAAX and VANTRAAX brochures highlight models featuring Hendrickson’s Advanced Axle / Beam Technology (AXT) in their respective families of integrated primary and slider air-ride trailer suspension systems.

Hendrickson’s Advanced Axle / Beam Technology teams tapered-beam and large-diameter axle (LDA) technologies. LDA increases the diameter of today’s traditional five-inch axle by about three-quarters of an inch, which reduces weight while improving component and system strength.

The INTRAAX brochure (L614 rev E) outlines the evolution of the patented suspension-axle-brake system into a family of low maintenance, lightweight configurations for essentially any vocational or over-the-road application.

The publication highlights recent additions to the INTRAAX family including launch of AXT in the 23,000-pound capacity AANT model.

The road-proven AANT delivers the ultimate system for weight-conscious haulers running straight-frame platforms, container chassis, liquid tankers, grain hoppers, bottom dumps and livestock trailers trimming an average of 55 pounds from the original straight-beam INTRAAX.

The VANTRAAX brochure (L585 rev D) touts the introduction of AXT to the popular slider system particularly in the new 46,000-pound capacity model (HKANT 46K) that trims 129 pounds compared to a straight-beam system.

In addition, the VANTRAAX family offers a full range of configurations to meet the needs of virtually any sliding-suspension application including a low-ride height tandem ideal for drop-frame vans and a tridem that gives operators flexibility to haul across international, provincial and state borders while remaining in compliance with varying regulations.

VANTRAAX for van and reefer applications marries Hendrickson’s superior K-2 slider box technology with the patented INTRAAX for a road-proven family of slider systems that address critical needs for lighter, more durable running gear.

Both brochures detail the wide array of unmatched standard features starting with road-proven TRI-FUNCTIONAL bushings for rugged reliability; straighter, neutral-toe axles to help improve tire life and mileage; short S-cams for responsive, consistent braking, and the trailer industry’s first standard Cam Tube System.

Hendrickson’s value-enhancing options for both INTRAAX and VANTRAAX include extensive choices for long-life wheel ends and extended-service brakes.

Additional options for INTRAAX systems include the Hendrickson UNDER BEAM LIFT, chain down-stops and rear-oriented shocks for severe-duty applications and a Raised-center Axle.

QUIK-DRAW driver-friendly, finger-tip operated pin pull mechanism highlights VANTRAAX system options in addition to SURELOK and DOCK STABILIZING TECHNOLOGY (DST) to minimize loading dock concerns.
