Truck Kentucky Facility Recommended for ISO 14001:2004 |
The Truck Systems Group facility in Lebanon KY has been recommended for ISO 14001:2004 certification. ISO 14001 is a voluntary international standard that establishes the requirements for an environmental management system (EMS). The objective of the standard is for an organization to establish an EMS that is integrated with the overall business management process.
"Our goal is always to improve in every aspect of our business," remarked Richard Mudd at the closing meeting. "This is another great example of the commitment of the KY team and of our leadership at all levels of the organization."
Lebanon has accomplished many green initiatives this year including:
Reducing their landfill footprint through recycling of wood products (scrap pallets and 2x4’s), cardboard, aluminum and plastic cans, and through the use of a trash compacting system
Reduction in energy consumption through operating efficiency upgrades on bulk gas and compressed air usage
Working on recycling cutting particulates generated from their plasma and laser machines
Please join me in congratulating Lebanon in the ISO 14001 certification.
