Clarksville Plant Recommended for VPP Star Status |
On August 6, 2009, the Hendrickson Trailer plant in Clarksville TN was recommended for Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) Star Status through the Tennessee Occupational Safety and Health Administration (TOSHA). VPP is the most prestigious workplace safety and health recognition program in the US. In Tennessee only Star sites are accepted into the program (there is no merit status).
Jim Flanagan, TOSHA VPP Manager, and his audit team recognized Hendrickson employees for their tremendous safety involvement and improvement efforts.
During the closing meeting Flanagan and the team commented on the fact that the plant had a “brother’s keeper” mentality and they were impressed by the way employees looked out for one another. They noted there is an excitement about safety in the plant that will carry over into other areas of our work.
This achievement is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of every employee at the Clarksville facility. We will continue to keep safety first to protect our most valued assets, our employees.
Congratulations to everyone at the Clarksville plant for their contributions to this outstanding accomplishment.
