Why Hendrickson Truck Suspensions?
The Woodridge facility, southwest of Chicago, Illinois, is the headquarters for the Truck Suspensions division. A total of 150 people work in the offices and test lab in Woodridge. Company-wide IT also operates from this location. The Truck division's departments include marketing, engineering, accounting, purchasing, customer service, and the R&D lab. The Truck office works closely with the two Truck manufacturing facilities in Kendallville, Indiana, and Lebanon, Kentucky. The Truck division provides state-of-the-art products to major truck manufacturers, including Volvo, Freightliner, Paccar, Mack, and International. Why Woodridge? Being located only a few miles from metropolitan Chicago is a great advantage for the Woodridge facility. Employees come from many different parts of the city and surrounding suburbs, creating a diverse workforce. Woodridge is close to Argonne National Laboratory and to the historic canal town of Lemont. Argonne is one of the U.S. Department of Energy's largest research centers and over the years has conducted research in nuclear reactors and many other areas of science, engineering and technology. The Woodridge area is rich in culture and leisure sites, including many world class golf courses. Lemont is rich in history and is nestled in the bluffs of the Des Plaines river. It's history is linked to the construction of the Illinois and Michigan Canal system, which linked the Mississippi river to the Great Lakes. Of course, the city of Chicago offers something for everyone. To learn more about Woodridge, visit its website at www.vil.woodridge.il.us or explore Lemont at www.lemont.il.us.
